MY FUTURE'S SO BRIGHT
Like any big star, you wear your sunglasses at night and indoors. It's 1985, and wrap-around mirrored glacier goggles are all the rage. You wear your glacier goggles in the editing booth and keep complaining that the "California Girls" video looks dull. Your skewed vision and persistent direction to the editors to turn up the colors results in a surreal, super-bright video. It's innovative enough to win you a tech geek award from Kodak. Just nod and smile: "Yeah, I meant to do that." With subsequent albums, your solo career sputters and you decide to leave California for a new venue. Back to the Beginning of the Story
